Why Cincinnati Homeowners Invest in Our Radiant Design
Design Expertise from Day One
Our NATE certified installers work with your architect during the design phase — optimizing floor layout, tubing spacing, thermal zones, and system configuration before any hardware is ordered.
Hydronic System Specialization
Radiant in-floor heating is our core expertise, not a side service — we specify the exact boiler type, mixing valve settings, pump configuration, and zone control your home needs.
Locally-Owned Experience Since 2000
Family-owned with 75+ Years of Combined Experience, we’ve installed radiant systems throughout Cincinnati’s new construction and major renovation projects.
24/7 Support During Critical Phases
New construction projects are time-sensitive. Our 24/7 phone service means we’re reachable during concrete pours, pressure tests, and final commissioning.
Factory-Authorized Bryant Dealer
Manufacturer-backed equipment warranties, access to premium high-efficiency boilers, and technical support from Bryant’s engineering team.
Whole-Home Integration
Radiant heating works best integrated with your home’s overall comfort system — we coordinate it with indoor air quality upgrades, duct sealing, and your cooling solution.
Start Your Radiant Design Consultation
Whether you’re breaking ground on a new home or planning a major renovation, our design process starts with a consultation to review your architect’s plans and calculate your heating load. We walk you through system options, equipment choices, and financing pathways so your radiant heating investment fits your project scope and budget.

From Blueprint to Commissioned Comfort
Your radiant heating project starts with engineering, not just ordering parts. We work with your architect and builder to evaluate your home’s insulation levels, window types, solar exposure, and thermal envelope characteristics. Our NATE certified technicians then calculate your precise heating load using ASHRAE standards — the right boiler size, pump capacity, and system design follow from that calculation, not a guess.
- Thermal modeling of your home’s heating demand by room
- Load calculation per ASHRAE standards to specify precise boiler size
- Zoning strategy tied to your home’s actual layout and usage patterns
- Documentation package for your builder showing tubing layout and specifications
Once the design is approved, we create detailed tubing schematics specifying circuit lengths, spacing intervals, and manifold locations for every floor section. We specify premium PEX cross-linked polyethylene tubing with manifolds that allow individual circuit balancing and zone isolation, centrally located for easy future service.
- Detailed tubing layout drawings matched to your floor plan dimensions
- Premium PEX tubing, pressure-tested and certified for decades of service
- Manifold placement for convenient future service and independent zone control
- Cross-conflict review with plumber and electrician before installation
We specify a condensing boiler sized exactly to your load calculation, plus a thermostatic mixing valve and a zone control board that independently manages water flow to each zone — so the master bedroom can be 70°F while the kitchen is 72°F, all off one efficient boiler.
- Condensing boiler sized exactly to your load, not oversized, for maximum efficiency
- Thermostatic mixing valve to prevent scalding and protect PEX tubing
- Zone control board wired to independent thermostats per room
- Smart thermostat compatibility for remote or voice control
Our crews work within your general contractor’s timeline — coordinating tubing installation before concrete pour, pressure-testing the complete system, then overseeing boiler hookup and commissioning.
- On-site coordination with concrete crews and mechanical contractors
- System pressure testing before concrete placement
- Boiler and pump installation, electrical wiring, and control panel setup
A new radiant system must be balanced and commissioned before you move in. We cycle the system through operating modes, verify zone operation, adjust settings, and train you on thermostat use and seasonal adjustments.
- System fill, bleed, and pressure verification
- Thermal imaging to confirm even floor warmth across all zones
- Homeowner training on thermostat operation and seasonal setpoint changes

Radiant Heating Installation Questions
Radiant installation cost depends on your home’s size, foundation type, and zone complexity. We provide transparent estimates during the design phase after we calculate your heating load and specify equipment. Financing through Goodleap is available to spread the investment across manageable monthly payments.
Radiant heating installs easily in new construction and major renovations where flooring is being replaced. Retrofitting into existing homes is usually not practical because it requires removing and replacing all flooring. For existing homes, discuss radiant wall or ceiling panels for selective rooms, or explore heat pump options.
Yes. Radiant systems operate at lower water temperatures (85–110°F vs. 160°F+ for traditional radiators), reducing boiler energy waste. Radiant efficiency is highest in well-insulated homes with quality windows and doors, making new construction ideal.
Radiant heating heats your home — it does not cool. You’ll need separate central AC or mini-split cooling for summer comfort. Many clients combine radiant heating with mini-split cooling for efficient year-round comfort.
Modern PEX tubing is extremely durable — we pressure-test before concrete pour, and leaks are extremely rare. If a leak occurs after years of use, the affected circuit can be isolated with a bypass line, or the boiler can heat via a backup furnace.
Yes. We install zone controls and individual thermostats so each floor section or room has its own temperature setting. Radiant zoning is more comfortable than forced air because there’s no disruptive hot/cold spot swapping.
Radiant floors respond slower than forced-air systems (15–30 minutes to feel a change) because the floor’s thermal mass slows the response. This is a feature, not a bug — it prevents overshooting and creates stable, consistent comfort.
Most homes with radiant heating use only the boiler. Some choose a hybrid system for redundancy or rapid temperature recovery. We recommend backup heating if your home’s insulation is modest or if heating emergencies are a concern.
We specify Bryant boilers as our factory-authorized dealer, and we can source other major premium brands based on your project requirements. All equipment we install is tested for integration with radiant controls and zone management.
Radiant systems are low-maintenance. We recommend annual boiler tune-ups and periodic water treatment checks. Join our Preferred Customer Plan for annual maintenance, boiler inspection, system pressure check, and thermal imaging.
